Clarity and Patience: Image Navigation manufactures the DentSim Augmented-Reality simulator systems for teaching pre-clinical skills to student-dentists and ii) the FDA-approved Image Guided Implantology (“IGI) dentistry system for the placement of dental implants according to surgical navigation. Both products are based on the Company’s state-of-the-art industry-leading optical tracking system.
For several years prior to 2008 DenX was owned by Australians, managed by executives in the USA with R&D in Israel. We purchased DenX in 2008 installing a workable management infrastructure, and introduced new DentSim version 5 in 2015.
The largest medical simulation installation world-wide is the 120 DentSim simulators at the Mahidol Faculty of Dentistry in Bangkok, Thailand.
IGI was first in introduced to the market in 2003, perhaps ten years before “digital dentistry” became a major trend. We recognized that the product was ahead-of-its-time, and that it was not possible for a small company to successfully market, sell and service a product targeting the over half-a-million individual dentists. The next version of IGI is presently under development.
